7 years ago while 2 of us were coworkers at a local company, being fellow Southerners we reminiscenced frequently about the crawfish boils of yore - of brave mudbugs that had paid the price for our spicy satisfaction. We gathered a single 40lb sack of crawdads, amassed some basic necessities, culled our friends to the great outdoors, and the SF Crawfish Boil was born. It was a brave crowd of pioneers, pinching tail and suckin' head in Golden Gate park, but the next year we moved over to the water & amphiteater at Crissy Field - and we stayed there for 5 years. We liked it over there. However, due to a string of events out of our control, we were put in a position that forced us to move from Crissy Field. A location that we had been planning to use since last year, and even though we had started planning this year back in July 2009, things took a big turn in March. That's Federal jurisdiction lag for yah!

Nevertheless, we are excited to be hosting this years event, and we look forward to seein & meetin each & e'er one of yah!
